When is the homework due?
There will be only one final deadline for all fall term assignments in the middle of January and for all spring term assignments in the middle of June. The due date is written in every assignment for clarity.

Can I get an extension?
No. The final deadline for each term is THE final deadline – all work must be handed in by that date to give me enough time to grade and hand out points and quills.

What if I hand in an assignment late?
Assignments that are handed in after the final deadline might not be graded and awarded points, depending on how much time I have for grading before the points/quills database closes.

Is there any mandatory class work?
No part of the homework assignments is mandatory. However, you need to earn at least 135 points each term to earn a quill.

How many points can I earn?
You can earn a maximum of 300 points each term, for a total of 600 points for this class. Each homework assignment offers up to 60 points.

How many quills can I earn?
You can earn a maximum of 1 quill each term, for a total of 2 quills for this class.

How do I pass the class?
To pass the class, you need to earn one quill each term, which means you need a total grade of at least Acceptable (135+ points) each term.

What if I don’t earn a quill during the fall term?
All students who don’t earn a quill during the fall term will be dropped from the class before the spring term starts.

Will there be any awards?
There will be four awards in this class.

  • The Odin Award: Given to students who earn the full 300 points of the term. Awarded at the end of each term.
  • The Thor Award: Given to students with an overall grade of Exceeds Expectations or higher (210+ points). Awarded at the end of each term.
  • The Loki Award: Given to students who hand in all homework assignments and all extra credits, regardless of points earned. Awarded at the end of the school year.
  • The Forseti Award: Given to the student(s) from each House who has earned the most points. Awarded at the end of the school year.

When will my homework be graded?
My ambition is to grade class work every month, but real life happens so sometimes there might be a delay.
