Who Am I? 2005 Edition

I was born in Valinor, but I came to Middle-earth in the First Age
I ruled Laurelindórenan but now I've returned to my birthplace
Who am I?

I was born with a beauty that only once before came
Dwelt many a year before being taken by love's flame
Cerin Amroth is where I faced my doom
And East of the Sea, Elanor and Niphredil no longer bloom
Who am I?

I loved a beauty like no other
Whose voice was pure and clear
But by water clear and cool I left her
To go to haven grey
A wind then came and blew me and my ship far from her
I tried to find my love
But was never heard from again
Who am I?

I am the grandson of Turgon and the great grandson of Luthien
In the siege of Barad-dûr I was the Herald of Ereinion
Who am I?

I have to fill the place of two
I am the child of madness and beauty
The pupil whose father did not want me to learn
My wife is the wild, white lady of the lands of grass

I came to Middle-earth in the Third Age as one of the Istari
I was considered very wise, and people came to me for advice
Who am I?

I was born and raised in Minas Tirith
But when my father inherited,
We went back to the home I'd never seen before

While serving my masters with my brothers
I encountered a sad group on our land
They had lost one of their own in dark flames
And asked us nothing but a helping hand

And there my written journey halts
However, I was killed by film-makers
In a fortress, without any faults

I was the lord of a realm of gold
I am grandfather to one who became ruler of a land not their own
I remained when all others like me departed

I'm the last of my family in Middle-earth,
Although I was one of the first who came
But only when the time of the Elves came to an end,
I was forgiven the deads of my kindred
Because I passed the test and recieved at Valinor

Though foolish I may seem,
Some have called me "prince"
My curiosity has often brought me into trouble,
But through me part of fate has been decided

My true shape can't be seen any longer
I live in a surrounded country with my faithful people
I have power, but I want even more of it
My faithful servants spread fear through all of Middle-earth

I forged the jewels that shine of starlight
Lost were the trees from which they came,
But wanted by the mighty rulers,
There I ran from heaven's shores
I sailed across the barren land,
Heartless deeds I there wrought

I am a ruler, but not a king nor queen

I belong to those who were born first;

Lord of my own city
I never reached the everlasting land until the end of our time
Brave warrior of all ages until my departure
Lover of the seas, loyal friend of the last great king of my race
Great power was granted to me by him,
and later granted by me to the the wisest of the three wises,
who came to warn and help in the first place
At the end,
Those who wanted to get to the lands that never get old,
Would come to my domains
And I would sail with them, into the west

I was charged with the safety of my Lord and King
But while fighting alongside him in a mighty siege,
Defending our homeground, I died a warrior's death
But I have been honoured by my people
And have been given my own grave
In the shadow of the place I helped defend

When I entered this world, I prefered the gardens
Although I loved my home, I travelled a lot
It was during my travelling that I met my husband
Because he married me, he changed his name
We ruled a country that is no more
And had a rather special daughter

I was one of them, who fell in love with metals
I was one of them, who had only one son
I was one of them, who were slained by their own kin
I was the first, who died in that city

Fleeing from a nightmare I passed through yet more nightmares,
To emerge into a dream
On the quest to fulfill the dream,
I lost something and gained a Star

Though it might also means other things

Though not forever in that realm

Glittering, spray of Light
Though carrying a burden;
